System field

Shows something Selfform already knows about the record: when and who created it, when and who last changed it, which state it's in and since when. Nobody types it; it's always up to date.

Setting it up

• Label and Help text, as in any field.
• Shows: which detail: Created on, Created by, Modified on, Modified by, State or In the state since.

The state and since when it's in it only show something if the entity has states (see boards and backlogs).

Where it shows

• On the form, as a field that can't be edited. On a new record it says it's set on saving.
• In a table, as a column that can be sorted and filtered: dates by before or after a day, people by name or with Me, and the state by its name.
• Exporting a CSV, dates come out as 2026-10-09 10:30.

Dates show in the application's time zone.

The conditions of automations and transitions can use it too, like [created_by] = ME() or [created_at] < TODAY().

Good to know

• It can't go inside a dialog.
• The form's formulas can't read it; automations and transitions can.
• Boards and backlogs aren't grouped by it.
