Calendar
A calendar is a page that places an entity's records on the day one of their dates holds. It shows a month or a week, steps back and forth with the arrows, and Today brings it back to today.
What builds it
- Date that places it — a date field, a date and time field, or a system field such as Created at. Dates with a time show it before the title, in the application's time zone.
- End date — optional, of the same type as the first. The record shows on each day between the two; the time shows on the first.
- Color by — optional, a choice or the state. Each value takes a color, and the legend names them above the calendar.
- Records open in — the form a record opens in when clicked; the entity's first when none is chosen.
- Filters — the same as tables'; Me is whoever looks at the calendar, so each person sees their own.
Moving and adding
- Whoever can edit records drags them to another day to change their date; the time is kept and the end date shifts along. The keyboard works too: space to pick it up, arrows to move it, space to drop it.
- Each day's + opens the form with that date filled in; a date and time starts at 9:00.
- A calendar by a system field, such as Created at, is only for looking: those dates aren't changed by hand.
Good to know
- By month each day shows three records; +N more opens its week with all of them.
- Each period shows up to 500 records; past that, a notice asks to filter the calendar.
- A calendar whose date field is gone says it couldn't be shown; it's fixed in its settings.
